Configure email and chat notifications

Configure Secorvia alerts for email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Discord and choose which security and scan events notify your team.

Reviewed

Before you start

Have authorized recipient addresses or an incoming webhook URL for the destination channel. Configure only destinations your organization controls.

Choose a notification provider

Open Notifications. Email uses configured SMTP delivery to recipients; Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Discord use their incoming webhook destinations.

Enter the destination

For email, enter Recipients (comma-separated). For chat providers, enter Webhook URL. Treat webhook URLs as credentials and keep them out of screenshots, comments, and source control.

Select the events

Under Notify on, select the relevant events: scan started/completed/failed, critical or high finding created, compliance report generated, cloud account connection failed, or scheduled scan failed. Choose events that the receiving team can act on.

Save and test the configuration

Save the provider configuration and use its test action. Read Test result and verify the message reached the intended destination. A successful test does not replace monitoring later delivery attempts.

Check real delivery history

Open Notification History after an event occurs. Confirm provider, event, status, and any error. Use delivery history to investigate missing messages instead of repeatedly changing destinations.

Where you are now

Notifications are directed to the intended team and have been tested for the chosen event types.

WHEN SOMETHING LOOKS OFF

A few things to check

A chat notification fails

Check webhook validity and destination permissions, then inspect the test result and delivery error.

The expected event did not notify

Confirm the event is selected and inspect Notification History to see whether a delivery was attempted.
